Barely two months after making its debut, the HTC Hero has gone through a significant cosmetic change from an angular chin-protruding device, to a rounded pebble-looking mobile for its US debut.
Everything else remains the same though: a 5MP camera, WiFi and 3G connections, 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD slot, 528 Mhz processor with 288MB Ram.
The phone will retail for US$180/NZ$265.66 with a 2-year "Everything" plan starting from US$70/NZ$103.31 a month which gets you unlimited surfing/messages/nights & weekends calls plus 450 minutes.
That is a pretty sweet deal compared to Vodafone NZ's crippled HTC Magic which costs NZ$319 for a two year contract at NZ$130 a month which gives only 500MB data, 600 texts and 250 minutes.
