Skype 3.0 for Windows Mobile brings File Transfer and Texting

If you got a Windows Mobile phone be sure to download Skype 3.0 before you leave for your daily duties. The new update brings new features like file transfer between Skype users and the best bit; free texting to mobiles both locally and internationally.

The other usual features like free Skype to Skype calls, free Instant Messaging and the ability to call mobiles and landlines at a cheap subscription price remain intact.

This update could "encourage" our local telcos (Vodafone and Telecom) to give up their mobile termination charges which the the Commerce Commission talked about yesterday.
