Stop Google Ads In Gmail (And Freak Everyone Out In Your Contact List While You're At It)

By Benedict Wee

Lifehacker has found a way to remove the "Sponsored Links" ads that appear around your email boxes in Gmail by using words referencing tragic or catastrophic events.

By typing:

I enjoy the massacre of ads. This sentence will slaughter ads without a messy bloodbath.

as your signature you'll be able to eliminate those pesky ads surrounding your inbox. On the flip side though your colleagues, friends or whoever is on the receiving end might start avoiding you till you explain it to them.
